“The Enemy of my Enemy is my Friend”
When times become tough and the loss of lives in the magnificent yet horrific cycle of conflict, victory and defeat becomes too much for any side to bear deals are struck. Alliances forged during the heat of battle last the longest, victors and losers standing arm and arm in brotherhood draw together the strength of many; amplifying power that should otherwise be cut by the blood thirsty actions performed by the respective groups. There is always strength in numbers, such has been proven time and time again. The strongest army wins, though the largest army is not always the strongest. Eventually, however, even the strongest of armies will fall to the decimation of death and battle fatigue. In such stark times deals are often struck. And so, the first permanent Shinobi settlements were formed. In a deal that went unforeseen the legendary Senju and Uchiha clans, both descendants of the Ridoku Sennin, formed the first of these permanent villages, Konohagakure no Sato; the village hidden in the leaves. When success is had be few the many are sure to join in. Warring nomads give way to settled warriors, chaotic masters of shadow stepping into the light for the first time in generations. The face of battle changes with the times.
Conflict, victory, war and position shift with the times. Demons armored head to toe with blades of steel begin to lose their favor, the Oni falling in position with the Lord's in favor of the Shadow walkers. Desperation beings to ensue among the demons as the shadowed ones gather favor and power, five leaders of immeasurable strength gaining the ears of the five great Lords. An alliance is made as Seven Swords are forged, the demons hiding within the mist gaining the treasures that will come to change the very face of war. Pacts are made, lines are crossed and a red-eyed man sees more than just the crimson color of his eyes; betrayed by the man he would call comrade as words of wisdom fall upon deaf ears.
War and Death make their triumphant returns to the battlefield as is their destiny, riding high as demons lash out against shadows, steel rending crimson from either famed figure as the face of the world continues to ebb and flow with the tides. Chaos and conflict grip the lips of those alive to speak of it, action being demanded by those that would call the shadows lord. As the sun sets on yet another day the darkness begins to rise, the moon stained red with the blood sacrificed to its bounty.
QUICK SUMMARY
+ It has been three years since the Hidden Villages were founded.
+ Samurai, now near extinct due so many choosing to drop their career as a samurai to become a shinobi, have begun taking out their wraith on Shinobi by attacking Hidden Villages.
+ The Hidden Mist has entered a truce with the Samurai, and founded the Seven Samurai of the Mist to ensure its village no longer is attacked.
+ As attacks on other villages continue, relationships between Hidden Mist, and the other Hidden Villages tilt towards the breaking point .. War looms on the horizon.
